The leap into the unknown

The leap into the unknown

So recently my girlfriend & family decided it would be a good idea to throw me out of a plane from 13,000 feet travelling at 180 mph towards earth as a birthday gift!

Of course at first I was nervous at the thought, but new challenges present both new experiences & new opportunities. Little did she know I secretly arranged a skydive for her too at the same time! & Now we both love it. It was a great chance to test out & experience this adrenaline & thrilling activity, sporting RENEGADE Attire active wear. Not only was it comfortable but it was a great way to be seen doing such an awesome & life changing activity!

Here are 5 useful tips below to prepare yourself for a tandem skydive if you are crazy enough to consider it.

1. Wearing a hoodie is ok, although we later found out that Ideally any top or t-shirt depending on the weather & season, ( without a hood is more preferable ) as your hood has to be tucked in for safety reasons. Also you will spend less time messing about trying to tuck it in. Ideally fairly tight fitting clothes will flap far less too.

2. Wear sensible footwear, trainers & plimsoles are favoured, ensure they are tied of fastened securely, as once you're in the air the will be long gone

3. Make sure you eat a sufficient meal a few hours beforehand, & also drink plenty of fluid. If the nerves get the better of you & food is the last thing on your mind, get a smoothie a fairly highly caloric one.

4. Breath out or shout to empty your lungs on exiting the aircraft, during free fall you can find it near on impossible to breathe. Depending on the height in this case 13,000 feet it was roughly 30 seconds free falling, before the parachute opened & breathing was normal.

5. Give yourself plenty of time, arrive early & most importantly be present & enjoy this epic experience.
